Compositions and methods are provided for screening for compounds that modulate insulin promoter activity. Vectors that express green fluorescent protein under the control of the human insulin promoter are introduced into mouse and human cells in which the insulin promoter is expressed in a glucose- responsive manner. Such cells are then used to screen for compounds that modulate insulin promoter activity.

Compositions et méthodes servant à rechercher par criblage des composés modulant l'activité du promoteur d'insuline. Ceci consiste à introduire dans des cellules de souris et des cellules humaines dans lesquelles le promoteur d'insuline est exprimé de manière sensible au glucose, des vecteurs exprimant une protéine fluorescente verte sous l'influence du promoteur d'insuline humain. On utilise ensuite ces cellules afin de rechercher par criblage des composés modulant l'activité du promoteur d'insuline.
