Disclosed are methods for extracting excess materials from contact lenses, during which the contact lenses swell above their functional size. The methods include the steps of treating contact lenses with a liquid, preferably a solution that causes the contact lenses to swell to a size larger than their functional size, and treating the contact lenses with a liquid, preferably a solution that causes them to shrink back to their functional size.

Cette invention se rapporte à des procédés qui servent à extraire les matières excédentaires de lentilles de contact et pendant lesquels les lentilles de contact sont amenées à gonfler jusqu'à dépasser leur taille fonctionnelle. Ces procédés consistent à traiter des lentilles de contact avec un liquide, tel que de préférence une solution qui amène les lentilles de contact à gonfler jusqu'à une taille supérieure à leur taille fonctionnelle, et à traiter les lentilles de contact avec un liquide, tel que de préférence une solution qui amène les lentilles de contact à rétrécir jusqu'à leur taille fonctionnelle.
