A surgical instrument (200)includes an end effector (202) having a clevis (224) and first and second jaws (226, 228) mutually rotatable between open and closed positions. The jaws (226, 229) are proximally directed and laterally displaced relative to a longitudinal axis of a control shaft (206) of the instrument. The jaws (226, 228) hold first and second parts (12, 14) of a fastener (10), respectively. The first part (12) includes a base (18) having upstanding tissue piercing posts (32, 34), and the second part (14) includes another base (54) defining apertures (58, 60) for receiving the posts (32, 34), as well as a portion (52) movable relative to the second base (54). When the upstanding posts (32, 34) are inserted into the apertures (58, 60), the movable portion (52) can be moved into a second configuration to lock the parts (12, 14) of the fastener (10) together. The instrument (200) is adapted to move the second part (14) into the second configuration.
L'invention concerne un instrument chirurgical comprenant un effecteur de terminaison présentant un maillon d'attache et une première et une seconde mâchoire pouvant mutuellement pivoter entre une position ouverte et fermée. Ces mâchoires sont orientées dans le sens proximal et se déplacent latéralement par rapport à un axe longitudinal d'un arbre de commande de l'instrument. Ces mâchoires maintiennent respectivement les premières et secondes partie d'une attache. La première partie comprend une base dotée de tiges verticales qui percent les tissus, et la seconde partie comprend une autre base définissant des ouvertures destinées à recevoir les tiges, ainsi qu'une partie mobile par rapport à la seconde base. Lorsque les tiges verticales sont insérées dans les ouvertures, la partie mobile peut se déplacer dans une seconde configuration afin de verrouiller les parties de l'attache ensemble. Cet instrument est conçu pour faire bouger la seconde partie dans la seconde configuration. L'invention concerne un procédé d'utilisation de l'appareil et de l'attache.
