This invention provides methods and formulations for treating an inflammatory disease or reducing an inflammatory reaction comprising administering a fortified formulation comprising stabilized rice bran derivative and a fortification agent. Preferred rice bran derivatives are rice bran oil and the solubilized fraction of rice bran. Preferred fortification agents are glucosamine derivative, methylsulfonylmethane, yucca concentrate, and grape seed extract.

L'invention concerne des méthodes et des préparations de traitement d'une maladie inflammatoire ou de réduction de la réaction inflammatoire, lesdites méthodes consistant à administrer une préparation fortifiée contenant un dérivé de son de riz stabilisé et un agent de fortification. Des dérivés de son de riz préférés sont l'huile de son de riz et la fraction solubilisée de son de riz. Des agents de fortification préférés sont un dérivé de glucosamine, le méthylsulfonylméthane, un concentré de yucca, et un extrait de pépins de raisin.
