Disclosed are improved methods for treating cotton-containing fabrics and non-cotton-containing cellulosic fabrics as well as the fabrics produced from these methods. In particular, the disclosed methods are directed to contacting cotton-containing or non-cotton-containing cellulosic fabrics with an aqueous solution containing a fungal cellulase composition which comprises one or more EG type components and one or more CBH I type components wherein said cellulase composition has a protein weight ratio of all EG type components to all CBH I type components of greater than 5:1. Cotton-containing fabrics so treated possess decreased strength loss as compared to fabrics treated with a cellulase composition greater amounts of CBH I type components.
Sont décrits des procédés perfectionnés pour traiter des tissus contenant du coton et des tissus cellulosiques ne renfermant pas de coton, ainsi que les tissus produits à l'aide de ces procédés. Les procédés décrits consistent notamment à mettre des tissus contenant du coton ou des tissus cellulosiques ne renfermant pas de coton en contact avec une solution aqueuse contenant une composition de cellulase fongique qui comporte un ou plusieurs constituants de type EG et un ou plusieurs constituants de type CBH I. Ladite composition de cellulase présente un rapport pondéral protéique de tous les constituants de type EG et de tous les constituants de type CBH I qui est supérieur à 5:1. Les tissus contenant du coton ainsi traités présentent une perte de résistance réduite par rapport aux tissus traités avec une composition de cellulase contenant de plus grandes quantités de constituants de type CBH I.
