Methods for treating renal cell carcinoma using low doses of IL-2 are disclosed. In particular, the invention relates to methods of treating metastatic renal cell carcinoma in patients who are renally impaired and/or intolerant of high dose IL-2 therapy. The therapeutic regimen described herein significantly inhibits tumor growth with reduced toxicity and adverse side effects compared to high dose IL-2 therapy.
L'invention se rapporte à des procédés pour traiter un carcinome cellulaire rénal au moyen de faibles doses d'interleukine IL-2. Cette invention concerne en particulier des procédés pour traiter des carcinomes cellulaires rénaux métastatiques chez des patients qui présentent une insuffisance rénale et/ou une intolérance à un traitement par doses élevées d'interleukine IL-2. Le schéma thérapeutique exposé dans la description inhibe significativement la croissance tumorale avec une toxicité et des effets indésirables réduits par rapport à un traitement par doses élevées d'interleukine IL-2.
