The present invention provides methods of treatment of mental and vascular disorders. In one embodiment, the present invention contemplates the administration of an anti-allergic medication to reduce a patient's symptoms of mental or vascular disorder. The patient may or may not suffer from allergic responses. Likewise, the methods of the present invention may be used to reduce or prevent the symptoms of a mental or vascular disorder. In a preferred embodiment, the anti-allergic medication is a non-sedating or low- sedating antihistamine.
