It is disclosed herein that agents that affect the activity and/or expression of CXCLl6 can be used to alter the uptake of D-type CpG oligodeoxynucleo tides (D ODNs). Methods of inducing an immune response are disclosed that include administering agents that increase the activity and/or expression of CXCLl6 and a D ODN. Methods of decreasing an immune response to a CpG ODN are also disclosed. These methods include administering an agent that decreases the activity and/or expression of CXCLl6. Compositions including one or more D- type ODNs and an agent that modulates that activity and/or expression of CXCLl6 are provided.

L'invention concerne des procédés induisant une réponse immune, procédés consistant à administrer des agents qui augmentent l'activité et/ou l'expression de CXCLI6 et d'un D ODN. L'invention concerne également des procédés diminuant une réponse immune à un CpG ODN. Ces procédés consistent à administrer un agent qui diminue l'activité et/ou l'expression de CXCLI6. En outre, l'invention concerne des compositions comprenant un ou plusieurs ODN de type D et un agent qui module cette activité et/ou l'expression de CXCLI6.
