The present invention relates to methods of modulating the uptake and/or clearance of cells with a disrupted cell membrane, cells infected with a pathogen, dying cells or dead cells, or a portion thereof, which can be used to treat and/or prevent diseases such as cancer, autoimmunity and infections. La présente invention porte sur des procédés permettant de moduler labsorption et/ou lélimination de cellules dont la membrane cellulaire est détériorée, de cellules infectées par un pathogène, de cellules mourantes et de cellules mortes ou dune partie de celles-ci, lesdits procédés pouvant être utilisés pour traiter et/ou prévenir des maladies telles que le cancer, lauto-immunité et les infections. La présente invention concerne également des procédés permettant de moduler la reconnaissance, la transformation et/ou la présentation dantigène, ainsi que les réponses immunes à des substances dérivées de cellules dont la membrane cellulaire est détériorée, de cellules infectées par un pathogène, de cellules mourantes et de cellules mortes ou dune partie de celles-ci. La présente invention se rapporte en outre à des procédés de détection de cellules dont la membrane cellulaire est détériorée, de cellules infectées par un pathogène, de cellules mourantes et de cellules mortes ou dune partie celles-ci.
