Methods are provided to detect changes in cells without the use of detection labels In one embodiment, detection of responses of cells to stimuli comprises immobilizing one or more extracellular matrix ligands to a surface of a colonmetric resonant reflectance biosensor or a grating-based waveguide biosensor, and adding the cells having cell surface receptors specific for the one or more extracellular matrix ligands to the biosensor Changes in cells are then detected by the biosensor before and after introduction of stimuli to the biosensor.

L'invention concerne des procédés de détection de changements dans des cellules sans utiliser de marqueurs de détection. Dans un mode de réalisation, la détection des réponses des cellules à des stimuli comprend l'immobilisation d'un ou plusieurs ligands de matrice extracellulaire sur une surface d'un biocapteur de réflectance résonnant colorimétrique ou d'un biocapteur de type guide d'onde basé sur un réseau, et l'addition de cellules ayant des récepteurs de surface cellulaire spécifiques d'un ou plusieurs ligands de matrice extracellulaire sur le biocapteur.
