Disclosed herein are methods for treating a pregnancy related hypertensive disorder, such as pre-eclampsia and eclampsia, using combinations of compounds that alter soluble endoglin, endothelial nitric oxide synthase, PGI2, TGF-.beta.l, TGF-.beta.3, activin A, BMP2, BMP7, and sFlt-1 expression levels or biological activity. Also disclosed are methods of diagnosing a pregnancy related hypertensive disorder, such as pre-eclampsia and eclampsia, that include the measurement of any one or more of the following: soluble endoglin, endothelial nitric oxide synthase, PGI2, TGF-.beta.l, TGF-.beta.3, activin A, BMP2, BMP7, and sFlt-1 expression levels or biological activity.
L'invention concerne des méthodes permettant de traiter des troubles hypertensifs associés à une grossesse, de type prééclampsie et éclampsie, par combinaisons de composés qui altèrent les niveaux ou l'activité biologique des substances suivantes : endogline soluble, oxyde nitrique synthase endothéliale, PGI2, TGF-.beta.l, TGF-.beta.3, activine A, BMP2, BMP7, et sFlt-1. L'invention concerne également des méthodes permettant de diagnostiquer des troubles hypertensifs associés à une grossesse, de type prééclampsie et éclampsie, qui consistent à mesurer les niveaux ou l'activité biologique d'une ou de plusieurs des substances suivantes : endogline soluble, oxyde nitrique synthase endothéliale, PGI2, TGF-.beta.l, TGF-.beta.3, activine A, BMP2, BMP7, et sFlt-1.
