Abstract:- A method of forming an evacuated sealed pack especially pouches for food in which a flattened nozzle injects steam into a bag to purge air from its interior and form a vacuum, while applying tensile forces across the bag mouth to flatten the bag mouth against the nozzle, after which while retaining these forces the nozzle is removed without loss of the vacuum.
