A method of detecting whether or not a material has been labelled with a specific taggant, including a nucleic acid molecule, having a predetermined structure establishing the identity and/or origin of the material, comprising associating with the material a microscopically detectable amount of cellular particles such as bacterial and fungal spores and plant pollen, and testing the sample for presence of the cellular particles, a method of labelling a material including associating with it cellular particles, and a thus labelled material.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé permettant de déterminer si oui ou non une substance a été marquée avec un marqueur spécifique, tel qu'une molécule d'acide nucléique, ayant une structure prédéterminée établissant l'identité et/ou l'origine de la substance. Ce procédé consiste à associer à ladite substance des particules cellulaires, telles que des spores bactériennes et fongiques et du pollen de plantes, en une quantité détectable par microscope, et à tester l'échantillon pour déterminer la présence de ces particules cellulaires, cette invention concernant également un procédé de marquage d'une substance qui consiste à associer à cette substance des particules cellulaires, et une substance ainsi marquée.
