Methods of making a stenciled screen for use in screen printing an image onto a substrate are generally disclosed. The method involves removing a portion of a transfer coating from a transfer sheet via heat transfer with a printable sheet defining a printable surface. The portion of the transfer coating removed from the transfer sheet corresponds to areas where an ink is present on the printable surface of the printable sheet. The transfer coating can then be transferred to a screen to form a stenciled screen having closed mesh areas corresponding to where the transfer coating is present. The stenciled screen can then be used to screen print an image onto any of a variety of fibrous substrates.

L'invention porte sur des procédés de fabrication d'un cadre marqué au pochoir et destiné à être utilisé pendant la sérigraphie d'une image sur un substrat. Le procédé met en jeu le retrait d'une partie d'un revêtement de transfert d'une feuille de transfert par transfert de chaleur au moyen d'une feuille imprimable définissant une surface imprimable. La partie du revêtement de transfert retirée de la feuille de transfert correspond à des zones où une encre est présente sur la surface imprimable de la feuille imprimable. Le revêtement de transfert peut ensuite être transféré à un cadre pour former un cadre marqué au pochoir et muni de zones de maille fermées correspondant aux endroits où le revêtement de transfert est présent. L'écran marqué au pochoir peut ensuite être utilisé pour appliquer une image par sérigraphie sur un des divers substrat fibreux possibles.
