A method of making a lithium transition metal oxide compound for use as a cathode active material comprising the steps of admixing starting materials in particle form, including at least one lithium compound, at least one transition metal oxide compound, and at least one particulate reducing agent and heating the starting material mixture to a temperature sufficient to form a lithium transition metal oxide reaction product.
Méthode permettant de fabriquer un composé de lithium et d'un oxyde de métal de transition destiné à être utilisé comme matière active de cathode. Cette méthode comprend le mélange des produits de départ sous forme particulaire, soit au moins un composé du lithium, au moins un oxyde de métal de transition, et au moins un réducteur sous forme particulaire, puis le chauffage de ce mélange de produits de départ jusqu'à l'atteinte d'une température suffisante pour former un composé de lithium et d'oxyde de métal de transition.
