The invention generally relates to methods of measuring cleaved von Willebrand factor (VWF) fragments. More specifically, the invention relates to methods of measuring the ability of a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with a thrombospondin type 1 motif, member 13 (ADAMTS13) to cleave VWF in vivo. The invention also relates to methods of using various animal models which demonstrate ADAMTS1 3 activity similar to that of a human. The invention further relates to methods of measuring the cleavage products of rVWF in mammals, particularly in humans and in human plasma.
La présente invention concerne d'une manière générale des procédés de mesure de fragments clivés du facteur Willebrand (VWF). L'invention concerne plus précisément des procédés de mesure de la capacité d'une disintégrine et métalloprotéase à motif thrombospondine de type 1, le 13ème membre de la famille des ADAMTS, à savoir ADAMTS13, de cliver le VWF in vivo. L'invention concerne également des procédés d'utilisation de divers modèles animaux qui présentent une activité ADAMTS13 similaire à celle d'un humain. L'invention concerne en outre des procédés de mesure des produits de clivage du rVWF chez les mammifères, en particulier chez les humains et dans le plasma humain.
