Hydrophilic and/or rutile and anatase titanium oxide are obtained by sputter depositing titanium metal oxide on a film of zirconium oxide in the cubic phase. Another technique is to deposit a titanium metal on a film of zinc oxide in the cubic phase and heating the coating in an oxidizing atmosphere to provide an anatase and/or rutile phase(s) of titanium oxide.
Selon l'invention, on obtient des oxydes de titane hydrophiles et/ou de phases rutile et anatase par pulvérisation cathodique d'oxyde métallique de titane sur un film d'oxyde de zirconium à phase cubique. Dans une autre réalisation, la technique consiste à déposer du titane métallique sur un film d'oxyde de zinc à phase cubique, puis à chauffer le revêtement dans une atmosphère oxydante afin d'obtenir de l'oxyde de titane à phases anatase et/ou rutile.
