The present invention relates to a method of improving the resistance of a peptide or peptidomimetic to degradation by trypsin which comprises incorporating into said peptide or peptidomimetic a C-terminal capping group of formula (I) : X -Y- Z(I) wherein X is a N atom, which may be substituted by a branched or unbranched C1-C10 alkyl or aryl group which group may incorporate up to 2 heteroatoms selected from N, O and S; Y represents a group selected from -R a R b-, -R a R b-R b,- and -R b--R b-R a wherein Rais C, O, S or N, and R b is C; each of R a and R b, may be substituted by C1-C4 alkyl groups or unsubstituted; and Z is a group comprising 1 to 3 cyclic groups each of 5 or 6 non-hydrogen atoms, 2 or more of the cyclic groups may be fused and one or more of the cyclic groups may be substituted; the Z. moiety incorporates a maximum of 15 non-hydrogen atoms; and wherein the bond between Y and Z is a covalent bond between R a or R b of Y and a non-hydrogen atom of one of the cyclic groups of Z.

La présente invention porte sur un procédé consistant à améliorer la résistance d'un peptide ou d'un peptidomimétique à une dégradation par la trypsine, lequel procédé consiste à incorporer dans ledit peptide ou peptidomimétique un groupe de coiffage à l'extrémité C terminale représenté par la formule (I) : X - Y - Z (I), formule dans laquelle X est un atome d'azote qui peut être substitué par un alkyle en C1-C10 ramifié ou non ramifié ou un groupe aryle, lequel groupe peut incorporer jusqu'à 2 hétéroatomes choisis parmi N, O et S; Y représente un groupe choisi parmi -Ra-Rb-, -Ra-Rb-Rb,- et -Rb-Rb-Ra- où Ra est C, O, S ou N et Rb est C; chacun de Ra et Rb peut être substitué par des groupes alkyle en C1-4 ou non substitué; et Z représente un groupe comprenant 1 à 3 groupes cycliques chacun de 5 à 6 atomes autres que l'hydrogène, deux des groupes cycliques ou plus pouvant être condensés et un ou plusieurs des groupes cycliques pouvant être substitués; la fraction Z incorpore un maximum de 15 atomes autres que l'hydrogène; et la liaison entre Y et Z est une liaison covalente entre Ra ou Rb de Y et un atome autre que l'hydrogène de l'un des groupes cycliques de Z.
