Methods for inhibiting scale deposits in an aqueous system. The method may include at least one of adding and forming anti-scalant in the aqueous system such that an amount of anti-scalant in the aqueous system is up to about 1000 ppm, wherein the anti-scalant comprises at least one of polyvalent metal silicate and polyvalent metal carbonate, wherein the aqueous system has a pH of at least about 9, and wherein a mean particle size of the anti-scalant is less than about 3 microns. The method includes at least one of adding and forming anti-scalant in the aqueous system, wherein the anti- scalant comprises at least one of polyvalent metal silicate and polyvalent metal carbonate, and adding copolymer of maleic anhydride and isobutylene. Compositions therefor.
La présente invention concerne des procédés utiles pour empêcher les dépôts de tartre dans un système aqueux. Le procédé peut comporter au moins une étape qui consiste à ajouter et à former un agent antitartre dans le système aqueux de sorte que la quantité d'agent antitartre dans ledit système aqueux atteigne environ 1000 ppm. L'agent antitartre comprend au moins un silicate de métal polyvalent et un carbonate de métal polyvalent, le système aqueux a un pH au moins égal à 9 environ, et la grosseur particulaire moyenne de l'agent antitartre est inférieure à environ 3 microns. Le procédé comporte au moins une étape qui consiste à ajouter et à former un agent antitartre dans le système aqueux, cet agent antitartre contenant au moins un silicate de métal polyvalent et un carbonate de métal polyvalent, puis à ajouter un copolymère d'anhydride maléique et de l'isobutylène. On décrit des compositions appropriées.
