The present invention relates to methods of treating patients suffering from itching and puritis mediated by cutaneous lymphocyte antigen positive T cell. In particular, diseases or disorders including contact dermatitis, drug induced delayed type cutaneous allergic reactions, toxic epidermal necrolysis, cutaneous T cell lymphoma, bullous pemphigoid, alopecia aereata, vitiligo, acne rosacea, prurigo nodularis, and herpes simplex virus, or combination thereof will benefit from the administration of an IL-31 antagonist. The invention also includes methods of predicting a therapeutically responsive patient population.
La présente invention concerne des méthodes de traitement de patients atteints de démangeaisons et de prurit induits par les cellules T positives à l'égard de l'antigène lymphocytaire cutané. De manière plus particulière, les maladies ou les troubles tels que la dermite de contact, les réactions allergiques cutanées du type différé induites par les médicaments, la nécrolyse épidermique toxique, le lymphome cutané T, la pemphigoïde bulleuse, la pelade, le vitiligo, l'acné rosacée, le prurigo nodulaire de Hyde et le virus de l'herpès simplex ou une combinaison de ces derniers profitent de l'administration d'un antagoniste IL-31.
