The present invention provides a method of treating or preventing inflammation in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of cholera toxin subunit B. The present invention also provides a method of decreasing the activity of interferon gamma in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of cholera toxin subunit B. Further provided is a method of decreasing the activity of IL-12 in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of cholera toxin subunit B. Additionally, the present invention provides a method of treating or preventing a Th1 T-cell mediated autoimmune disorder in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of cholera toxin subunit B.
L'invention concerne une méthode de traitement ou de prévention d'une inflammation chez un sujet, qui consiste à administrer audit sujet une quantité effective d'une sous-unité B de la toxine du choléra. Elle concerne également une méthode qui permet de diminuer l'activité de l'interféron gamma chez un sujet, qui consiste à administrer audit sujet une quantité effective d'une sous-unité B de la toxine du choléra. L'invention concerne en outre une méthode qui permet de diminuer l'activité d'IL-12 chez un sujet, qui consiste à administrer audit sujet une quantité effective d'une sous-unité B de la toxine du choléra. Elle concerne enfin une méthode de traitement ou de prévention d'une maladie auto-immune induite la cellule Th1 chez un sujet, qui consiste à administrer audit sujet une quantité effective d'une sous-unité B de la toxine du choléra.
