The present invention relates to a method of treating an article of regulated waste comprising the steps of: (a) providing an article comprising at least one acid polymer and at least one contaminant; (b) dissolving at least a portion of the article in a disposal liquid thereby creating a waste mixture comprising waste solids and the disposal liquid; and (c) treating the waste solids. The present invention also relates to a method of treating an article of regulated waste comprising the steps of: (a) providing an article comprising at least one thermoplastic polymer and at least one contaminant; (b) dissolving at least a portion of the article in a disposal liquid (i) to introduce at least a portion of the contaminants into the disposal liquid and (ii) to create a waste mixture; (c) separating the disposal liquid from the waste mixture to obtain waste solids; and (d) treating the waste solids to render a non-regulated waste.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé de traitement de déchets soumis à réglementation, qui consiste: (a) à prendre un déchet comprenant au moins un polymère acide et au moins un contaminant; (b) à dissoudre au moins une partie de ce déchet dans un liquide de rebut, afin de créer un mélange résiduaire comprenant des résidus solides et le liquide de rebut; et (c) à traiter ces résidus solides. Cette invention se rapporte également à un procédé pour traiter des déchets soumis à réglementation, qui consiste: (a) à prendre un déchet comprenant au moins un polymère thermoplastique et au moins un contaminant; (b) à dissoudre au moins une partie du déchet dans un liquide de rebut (i) pour introduire au moins une partie des contaminants dans le liquide de rebut et (ii) pour créer un mélange résiduaire; (c) à séparer le liquide de rebut du mélange résiduaire, en vue d'obtenir des résidus solides; et (d) à traiter ces résidus solides pour en faire un déchet non soumis à réglementation.
