Compositions and methods for reducing the body weight of a mammal are disclosed. The invention is directed to methods for reducing the body weight in a mammal comprising administering therapeutically effective amounts of a fatty-acid ester of an estrogen or estrogen derivative and a fatty-acid, and a serotonin reuptake-inhibiting compound. Furthermore the invention is directed to compositions comprising a fatty-acid ester of an estrogen or estrogen derivative and a fatty-acid, and a serotonin reuptake-inhibiting compound.

L'invention concerne des compositions et des procédés de réduction de la masse corporelle d'un mammifère. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à administrer des quantités thérapeutiques efficaces d'un ester d'acide gras d'un oestrogène ou d'un dérivé d'oestrogène et d'un acide gras, et d'un composé inhibant le recaptage de sérotonine. L'invention concerne également des compositions contenant un ester d'acide gras d'un oestrogène ou un dérivé d'oestrogène et un acide gras, et un composé inhibant le recaptage de sérotonine.
