The present invention relates to nucleic oligomer primers or probes useful for detection of TTV in test samples. Also provided are assays which utilize these primers and probes, as well as test kits which contain these oligomer primers and/or probes. In addition, the present invention encompasses the use of TTV nucleotide sequences as nucleic acid vectors and as markers for determining transmission between individuals as well as the route thereof. Additionally, the present invention encompasses a method of detecting TTV infection prior to xenotransplantation of a tissue or organ.
L'invention concerne des amorces ou des sondes oligomères nucléiques utiles pour la détection du virus TT (TTV) dans les échantillons d'essai. L'invention concerne également des tests faisant appel à ces amorces et sondes, ainsi que des kits d'essai renfermant lesdites amorces et/ou sondes oligomères. L'invention concerne en outre l'utilisation de séquences nucléotidiques TTV comme vecteurs d'acides nucléiques et marqueurs pour déterminer la transmission entre individus et le chemin de transmission correspondant. Enfin, l'invention concerne un procédé qui permet de déceler l'infection TTV avant une xénotransplantation de tissu ou d'organe.
