The preferred embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method for the improved management and distribution of advertising specifications for publications. The management system preferably includes a plurality of publishers (650), a central repository (660), and a plurality of users (670). The publisher develops a set of advertisement specifications for use with their publication and posts the specifications as a template on their server. The set of advertisement specifications is then retrieved and stored at the central repository by an intelligent software agent. Templates stored at the central repository may then later be requested by any of a plurality of users, such as advertising agencies, for use in creating advertisements. The central repository preferably stores sets of advertisement specifications representing a large number of publications so that the user may use the central repository as one-stop-shopping for all the user's specificationS needs for a variety of publications.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de gestion et de distribution améliorées de spécifications de publicité pour publications. Le système de gestion comporte de préférence une pluralité d'éditeurs, un dépôt d'archives central et une pluralité d'utilisateurs. L'éditeur met au point un ensemble de spécifications de publicité à appliquer avec leur publication et place les spécifications sous forme de gabarit sur leur serveur. L'ensemble de spécifications de publicité sont ensuite récupérées et mémorisées dans un dépôt d'archives central par un agent logiciel intelligent. Les gabarits mémorisés dans le dépôt d'archives central peuvent ensuite être demandés par un des utilisateurs quel qu'il soit, notamment par des agences de publicité, afin de créer des publicités. Le dépôt d'archives central mémorise de préférence des ensembles de spécifications de publicité représentant un nombre important de publications de manière que l'utilisateur puisse utiliser le dépôt d'archives central comme un <= supermarché >= pour tous les besoins concernant les spécifications d'utilisateurs regroupant un large éventail de publications.
