The present invention contemplates poly(aminoamide) pre-polymers, polyamide polymers, a multi-step process for the synthesis of these pre-polymers and polymers using acrylates and at least one monomer containing at least two primary amines, and the resins resulting from the reaction of the polymers with an epihalohydrin. These resins may be used as wet strength resins and creping aids in the papermaking industry as well as surface additives for wool.

La présente invention concerne des pré-polymères de poly(aminoamide), des pré-polymères polyamidiques, un procédé en plusieurs étapes de synthèse de ces pré-polymères et polymères à l'aide d'acrylates et au moins d'un monomère contenant au moins deux amines primaires, et les résines résultant de la réaction des polymères avec une épihalohydrine. Ces résines peuvent être utilisées comme résines conférant la résistance humide et auxiliaires de crêpage dans l'industrie du papier ainsi que comme additifs de surface pour la laine.
