L'invention a également pour objet un procédé pour la préparation des composés répondant à la formule (I): (I) Image de configuration cis ou trans, sous leurs formes optiquement actives, par dédoublement du mono ester méthylique de l'acide (lRS, 3SR) cis 2,2-diméthyl cyclopropane 1,3-dicarboxylique à l'aide de la (d) ou (l) .alpha.-méthyl benzylamine et isomérisation éventuelle par action d'une base forte. Les composés (l) sont utiles à titre d'intermédiaires dans la synthèse d'esters chrysanthémiques.
