An electric insulating material according to the invention is composed of a glass fiber layer with a mica layer disposed thereon. The glass fiber layer includes twist-free glass yarn. It may be a woven glass fabric. The material is particularly suitable for insulating electrical conductors such as wire suitable for use in high temperature environments, and coils for use in high voltage electrical motors and generators.
L'invention concerne un matériau isolant électrique qui est composé d'une couche de fibre de verre sur laquelle est posée une couche en mica. La couche en fibre de verre comporte un filé de verre sans torsion. Il peut s'agir d'un tissu en verre tissé. Ledit matériau convient particulièrement pour isoler des conducteurs électriques, par exemple un câble à utiliser dans des environnements à température élevée, et des bobines à utiliser dans des moteurs et générateurs électriques à haute tension.
