The invention concerns the development of genetically modified micro-organisms, in particular genetically modified yeast, capable of surviving in a digestive environment and efficiently express therein one or several genes of interest. The invention also concerns the galenic form and the delivery mode of said micro-organisms. La présente invention concerne le développement de micro-organismes génétiquement modifiés, notamment de levures génétiquement modifiées, pouvant survivre dans un environnement digestif et y exprimer efficacement un ou plusieurs gènes d'intérêt. La forme galénique et le mode d'administration de ces micro-organismes sont également proposés. De plus, l'invention se rapporte à l'utilisation de systèmes digestifs artificiels simulant les fonctions gastro-intestinales de l'homme pour l'étude, le contrôle et la sélection des micro-organismes précités. L'invention porte également sur des applications directes de sécrétion et/ou de bioconversion in situ, en particulier dans la mise au point de traitements préventifs ou curatifs de pathologies, notamment de maladies liées au métabolisme des xénobiotiques.
