A surgical cutting blade (104) for cutting bone material when the blade is coupled to a hand-held surgical saw (102) having pro-trusions (172) extending therefrom that interface with the cutting blade. The cutting blade includes a distal end (182) comprising a plurality of cutting teeth (184) and a shank portion (214) adjacent the distal end. It also includes a proximal end (180) adjacent the shank portion. The prox-imal end is shaped to attach to the surgical saw and includes an upper substantially planar surface and a lower substantially planar surface and a side edge extending between the upper and lower planar surfaces. The side edge at least in part defines an outer perimeter (200) extending about the proximal end. The outer perimeter includes a plurality of in-dentations forming (204) openings configured to receive and interface with the protrusions of the surgical saw in a manner that the protrusions cooperatively impart motion to drive the blade.
L'invention porte sur une lame de coupe chirurgicale destinée à couper un matériau osseux lorsque la lame est couplée à une scie chirurgicale portative ayant des protubérances s'étendant à partir de celle-ci et qui sinterface avec la lame de coupe. La lame de coupe comprend une extrémité distale comportant une pluralité de dents de coupe et une partie de tige adjacente à l'extrémité distale. Ladite lame comprend également une extrémité proximale adjacente à la partie de tige. L'extrémité proximale est conçue pour être attachée à la scie chirurgicale et comprend une surface sensiblement plane supérieure, une surface sensiblement plane inférieure et un bord latéral s'étendant entre les surfaces planes supérieure et inférieure.
