The invention concerns a microbiological method for eliminating a nitroaromatic compound present in a solution or in soil. The method is characterised in that it consists in: contacting said solution or said soil with a Penicillium strain and enables to eliminate completely or almost completely the nitroaromatic compound by mineralising said compound. The invention also concerns a Penicillium strain capable of eliminating a nitroaromatic compound by mineralization.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé microbiologique d'élimination d'un composé nitroaromatique présent dans une solution ou dans un sol. Le procédé de l'invention comprend une mise en contact de ladite solution ou dudit sol avec une souche de Penicillium et permet une élimination du composé nitroaromatique totale ou quasi-totale par minéralisation dudit composé. L'invention se rapporte également à une souche de Penicillium capable d'éliminer un composé nitroaromatique par minéralisation.
