PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne la préparation de déri- vés hydroxylés de la quinine et la quinidine. Ce procédé consiste à faire agir un microorganisme du type champignon inférieur choisi dans le groupe constitué par Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus ochraceus, Aspergillus niger, Curvularia lunata, Mucor circinelloides, Mucor plumbeus, Penicillium purpurogenum, Rhizopus arrhizus ou du type bactérien tel que Streptomyces rimosus, sur le composé à hydroxyler dans des conditions de fermentation aérobie, en culture immergée. Ce procédé est utile pour l'hydroxylation régiospécifique et stéréospécifique de la quinidine.
