The present invention relates to microspheres, processes for the manufacture of said microspheres, pharmaceutical compositions comprising said microspheres, and sustained release methods of administering an effective pharmaceutical amount of a bioactive compound to a subject (see Figures 1-10). The microspheres of the present invention comprise a water insoluble organic matrix comprising an interior region, throughout which are homogeneously dispersed a plurality of microcapsules consisting essentially of a core of bioactive compound coated with material containing charged organic groups and a surface region substantially free of said bioactive compound.
La présente invention concerne des microsphères, des procédés de fabrication de ces microsphères, des compositions pharmaceutiques comprenant lesdites microsphères, ainsi que des méthodes d'administration à libération prolongée consistant à administrer une dose pharmaceutiquement efficace d'un composé bioactif à un sujet (voir Figures 1/10). Les microsphères de la présente invention comprennent une matrice organique insoluble dans l'eau dotée d'une zone intérieure dans laquelle une pluralité de microcapsules sont dispersées uniformément, ces microcapsules étant essentiellement constituées par un noyau de composé bioactif enduit d'une matière contenant des groupes organiques chargés, et par une zone superficielle sensiblement exempte de ce composé bioactif.
