The chip card is such that at least one stress sensor indicator (C1, C2, C3) is placed on the chip (10), under a known stress condition and is preserved in this condition by a protective coating applied over the chip as long as this coating is not affected. The chip has the capability to measure an electrical value characteristic of the stress, and a logic circuit connected to the measurement capability for detecting changes in the stress condition indicating an intrusion on the card.
