ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a digitally controlled, raster scanned, video display for a microcomputer. The display provides color images in response to chroma signals having predetermined phase relationships to a reference signal. A circuit which generates a digitally controlled chroma signal has a digital word generation means for generating predetermined digital signal, serializing means coupled to the generation means for repeating the word in a serial form at a predetermined frequency so as to provide frequency components at the reference signal frequency, and converting means coupled to the serializing means for converting outputs from the serializing means to an AC signal.
