Aqueous microemulsions of protonated aminopolysiloxanes (.alpha.) comprising an amphoteric surfactant (.beta.) and optionally at least one non-ionic emulsi- fier (.gamma.) and optionally hydrotropics (.delta.) and/or cationic emulsifiers (~) and the pH of which is ~ 7 are suitable as finishing agents of good sta- bility, in particular stability to shearing forces, for the treatment of fibrous material, in particular textile material.
