A method of producing a controlled release form of an agricultural active material includes the provision of an organic liquid compostion is free from aromatic solvents and is maintained below the normal melting point of the active. The liquid composition is formed into small droplets and the droplets are enclosed by a non-water soluble shell to provide microacapsules, the shell of which is designed to release the agricultural lactive at a pre-selected controlled rate when the microcapsule is exposed to natural envirnomental conditions. Controlled release forms of agricultural actives are also provided.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'une forme de substance active agricole à libération contrôlée, consistant à utiliser une composition liquide organique exempte de solvants aromatiques dans laquelle la substance active est présente et à maintenir la composition liquide à une température inférieure au point de fusion de la substance active. La composition liquide est ensuite transformée en petites gouttelettes qui sont recouvertes d'une enveloppe hydro-insoluble pour former des microcapsules, l'enveloppe étant conçue pour libérer la substance active agricole à une vitesse contrôlée présélectionnée lorsque la microcapsule est exposée à des conditions environnementales naturelles. L'invention concerne également des formes de substances actives agricoles à libération contrôlée.
