A process for making microcapsules comprising i) forming a solution of a cross- linker in a liquid; ii) forming a slurry of a surface-modified particulate inorganic material in an aqueous medium; and iii) dispersing the solution of step i) in the slurry of step ii) and causing or allowing the cross-linker to react with the surface-modified particulate inorganic material so as to form a cross-linked microcapsule wall.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour la fabrication de microcapsules. Ce procédé consiste : i) à former une solution d'un agent de réticulation dans un liquide; ii) à former une bouillie d'un matériau inorganique particulaire à surface modifiée dans un milieu aqueux; et iii) à disperser la solution de l'étape i) dans la bouillie de l'étape ii) et à provoquer ou à permettre la réaction de l'agent de réticulation avec le matériau inorganique particulaire à surface modifiée afin que soit formée une paroi de microcapsule réticulée.
