MICROFILM CAMERA WITH TRANSVERSELY MOVABLE CARRIAGE PATH Abstract of the Disclosure A photographic film handling apparatus wherein photographic film is positioned relative to a photographic lens system comprises equipment for moving photographic film in a first direction past the photographic lens system, equipment for moving the photographic film past the photo- graphic lens system in parallel second and third directions being opposed to each other, including a movable carriage for mounting the mentioned means for moving photographic film in the first direction, equipment for restricting move- ment of the carriage to movement in the mentioned opposed parallel second and third directions, an endless timing belt, equipment for mounting the endless timing belt in a loop having a straight portion extending parallel to the mentioned opposed second and third directions, equipment for transmitting motive power from the timing belt to the carriage, including a bracket having a portion extending parallel to the mentioned second and third directions and being connected to the carriage and a device for connecting the bracket to the endless timing belt at the straight loop portion, and equipment for driving the endless belt in a first sense for movement of the carriage in the second direction and for driving the endless belt in a second sense for movement of the carriage in the third direction.
