An integrated gel based microfluidic sample processing device An integrated gel based microfluidic sample processing device, suitable for forensic investigations at the scene of a crime,comprising a substrate having a plurality of micro-channels to form at least a DNA extraction chamber in fluidic cooperation with an amplification chamber which in turn is in fluidic co-operation with a separation and detection channel; said micro-channels containing a DNA extraction material and gel based reaction reagents necessary for processing said sample; the device further comprising electrical contacts for coupling to an external power source and capable of inducing electro-kinetic manipulation of said gel based reagents and DNA extracted from said sample throughout the device.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif intégré de traitement d'échantillon microfluidique à base de gel, approprié pour des investigations médico-légales sur la scène d'un crime, comprenant un substrat ayant une pluralité de micro-canaux destinés à former au moins une chambre d'extraction de l'ADN en coopération fluidique avec une chambre d'amplification qui à son tour est en coopération fluidique avec un canal de séparation et de détection; lesdits micro-canaux contenant une substance d'extraction de l'ADN et des réactifs de réaction à base de gel étant nécessaires pour traiter ledit échantillon; le dispositif comprenant en outre des contacts électriques destinés à être couplés à une source d'alimentation externe et capable d'induire une manipulation électro-cinétique desdits réactifs à base de gel et de l'ADN extrait dudit échantillon à travers le dispositif.
