Electrochemical actuation is adopted in an integrated microfluidic chip to transfer fluid for sample preparation, separation and detection. The electrochemical actuation is capable of producing high pressure for on-chip fluidic handling. Technologies and methods are also developed to use only electrical source to control on-chip fluid handling without any external fluidic support. Applications for the devices and methods include micro scale HPLC, ESI-MS, etc.
L'activation électrochimique est effectuée dans un microcircuit intégré microfluidique pour transférer le fluide destiné à la préparation, la séparation la détection d'un échantillon. L'activation électrochimique permet de générer une haute pression dans le traitement fluidique sur microcircuit. Des technologies et des procédés sont également développés pour utiliser uniquement la source électrique afin de commander le traitement fluidique sur microcircuit sans support fluidique externe quelconque. Les applications de ces dispositifs et procédés sont des systèmes HPLC, ESI-MS à échelle microscopique et autres.
