Title of the Invention MICROFORM PROJECTION APPARATUS Abstract of the Disclosure A projection lens assembly is supported from a microform reader in a manner whereby a lower ring of the assembly is in contact with the top surface of the microform and a lower supporting platen is in engagement with and maintains a portion of the microform in a precise position spaced from the projection lens to assure constant focus of the image. The lower platen is conical-shaped and fits in an aperture in the reader table in a manner to permit finite minimum lateral movement while spring loading thereof maintains the platen in contact with the microform. The lower platen is designed to permit the microform to be freely movable to any desired X-Y coordinate when the pressure is relieved so as to provide a small additional space between the platen and the ring of the lens assembly. The image so being viewed is in proper focus when the platen glass in contact with the microimage urges same against the lens assembly ring.
