A microphone array with high directivity comprises a multiple of microphones arranged in an elongated housing (10). The individual microphones are disposed in pairs and the individual microphones in each pair are placed on each side of a centreline for the microphone array. The signals from the microphones are summated in the formation of the output signal from the microphone array. The microphones on each side of the centreline are positioned with distances between one another which are not equidistant, and between each microphone (M4- - M4+) and a summation link (S) is coupled to a low-pass filter (F1+, F2+, F3+, F4+, F1-, F2-, F3-, F4-). The microphones associated with one and the same pair are connected to low-pass filters with the same cut-off frequency, and the cut-off frequency for the low-pass filters is different for each pair of microphones in that the cut-off frequency is lowest for that pair of microphones (M4-, M4+) which lie furthest away from the centreline, and is higher the closer the pair of microphones lies to the centreline. The microphone array is arranged in such a manner that the distances between the microphones and the cut-off frequencies for the low-pass filters are mutually adjusted in relation to one another.

L'invention concerne un ensemble de microphones à haute directivité, qui comprend une multitude de microphones disposés dans un logement allongé (10). Les microphones sont regroupés par paires, les microphones distincts de chaque paire étant placés de chaque côté d'une ligne centrale de l'ensemble de microphones. Les signaux émis par les microphones font l'objet d'une sommation pour former un signal de sortie de l'ensemble de microphones. Les microphones sont situés de chaque côté de la ligne centrale à une distance l'un de l'autre qui n'est pas équidistante ; un filtre passe-bas (F¿1+?, F¿2+?, F¿3+?, F¿4+?, F¿1-?, F¿2-?, F¿3-?, F¿4-?) est placé entre chaque microphone (M¿4-? M¿4+?) et une liaison de sommation (S). les microphones associés à l'une et à la même paire sont connectés à des filtres passe-bas avec la même fréquence de coupure, la fréquence de coupure des filtres de passe-bas étant différente pour chaque paire de microphones. En effet, la fréquence de coupure est plus faible pour la paire de microphones (M¿4-?, M¿4+?) qui se situe le plus loin de la ligne centrale. Plus la paire de microphones se rapproche de la ligne centrale, plus la fréquence de coupure s'élève. L'ensemble de microphones est disposé de telle manière que les distances entre les microphones et les fréquences de coupure des filtres passe-bas soient ajustées les unes par rapport aux autres.
