ABSTRACT A FELT TIPPED INK MARKING PEN FITTED INTO A HOUSING EQUIPPED WITH A REED SWITCH AND PROGRAMMED MICROELECTRONIC CIRCUITRY, DISPLAY DEVICE AND BATTERY. THE INWARD MOVEMENT OF THE MARKER PEN, WHEN PRESSED TO THE SURFACE BEING MARKED, IS TRANSDUCED BY A REED SWITCH TO AN ELECTRICAL PULSE CAUSING THE PROGRAMMED MICROELECTRONIC CIRCUITRY TO ADD ONE TO THE PREVIOUS DISPLAYED TOTAL SINCE THE LAST RESET.
