A transdermal agent delivery apparatus and system having a low infection potential comprising a delivery system having a microprojection member (or system) that includes a plurality of microprojections (or array thereof) that are adapted to pierce through the stratum corneum into the underlying epidermis layer, or epidermis and dermis layers. In one embodiment, the microprojection member includes a biocompatible coating having at least one biologically active agent and at least one antimicrobial agent disposed therein. In another embodiment, the microprojection member includes a hydrogel formulation having at least one biologically active agent and at least one antimicrobial agent. In yet another embodiment, the microprojection member includes a hydrogel formulation having at least one antimicrobial agent and a solid film having at least one biologically active agent.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un système d'administration d'agent transdermique à faible potentiel infectieux, composé d'un élément (ou d'un système) à microprojections comportant une pluralité de microprojections (ou un réseau de microprojections) destinées à transpercer la couche cornée de l'épiderme pour atteindre la couche inférieure de l'épiderme, ou l'épiderme et le derme. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'élément à microprojections comprend un revêtement biocompatible renfermant au moins un agent bioactif et au moins un agent antimicrobien. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'élément à microprojections comprend une préparation sous forme d'hydrogel contenant au moins un agent bioactif et au moins un agent antimicrobien. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'élément à microprojections comprend une préparation sous forme d'hydrogel contenant au moins un agent antimicrobien et une pellicule solide contenant au moins un agent bioactif.
