The present invention is a microscope coverslip constructed of a glass or plastic plate having an indicium thereon which can be used to uniquely or non- uniquely identify the coverslip or the microscope slide to which the coverslip is attached and/or provide information therefor. Preferably the indicium, such as a barcode, is machine readable. The microscope coverslip may have an adherent surface and a non-adherent surface, the adherent surface having a solvent activated dry adhesive film (adhesive coating) bonded thereto and having an indicium thereon for indicating the adherent side of the coverslip. The dry adhesive film of the adherent surface is non-tacky (non-sticky) in its storage or preapplication condition. At use, the adhesive of the adherent side can be activated by a solvent.
L'invention concerne une lamelle couvre-objet pour microscope composée d'une plaquette en verre ou en plastique sur laquelle est appliquée une inscription, et qui peut être utilisée pour l'identification unique ou non unique d'une lamelle couvre-objet ou d'une lame de microscope sur laquelle est disposée ladite lamelle couvre-objet et/ou fournir des informations sur celle-ci. De préférence, l'inscription, par exemple un code à barres, est lisible par une machine. La lamelle couvre-objet pour microscope de l'invention peut comprendre une surface adhérente et une surface non adhérente, un film adhésif sec activé par solvant (revêtement adhésif) étant lié la à la surface adhérente, laquelle comprend également une inscription qui permet d'indiquer le côté adhérent de ladite lamelle couvre-objet. Le film adhésif sec de la surface adhérente est non poisseux (non collant) en conditions de stockage ou de préapplication. En cours d'usage, l'adhésif du côté adhérent peut être activé par un solvant.
