Microwave heating apparatus comprising an elongated dielectric microwave applicator with an axial TM type mode, said dielectric applicator is provided with a load chamber for a load to be heated, said load chamber is located in a centred axial position inside the applicator. Two microwave feeding points are arranged at a lower end of the applicator for feeding microwave energy in the axial direction of the applicator so that applied microwaves of the same frequency become essentially orthogonal.

L'invention concerne un appareil de chauffage par micro-ondes comprenant un applicateur diélectrique de micro-ondes allongé ayant un mode de type TM axial. Cet applicateur diélectrique comporte une chambre de charge destinée à une charge à chauffer et située dans une position axiale centrale à l'intérieur de l'applicateur. Des points d'alimentation de micro-ondes sont situés à une extrémité inférieure de l'applicateur et sont destinés à l'alimentation en énergie micro-onde dans la direction axiale de l'applicateur de telle façon que les micro-ondes appliquées de même fréquence soient sensiblement perpendiculaires.
