A microwave leakage checker for domestic and industrial microwave oven and microwave communications equipment is disclosed. In this invention, the leakage checker consists of a antenna (two identical elements), a plane small reflector, a detector and matching circuit, a moving coil meter and a plastic cover. The antenna is placed at 0.25 wavelengths from the reflector to receive maximum energy from electromagnetic radiation. The received radiated energy by the antenna is picked up by the detector and the matching circuit (components) to provide appropriate current for the moving coil meter. The deflection of moving coil meter is proportional to the recieved current. The moving coil meter is calibrated to the required level by the substitution method.
