ABSTRACT A microwave heating package including an outer microwave transparent packaging enclosure and an inner microwave receptive heating sheet for heating food pieces, said sheet comprising a backing and a microwave receptive heating material associated therewith, said sheet being formed into a plurality of longitudinally extending, laterally spaced apart partitions defining food compartments therebetween for enclosing said food pieces on more than one side of each piece to heat the adjacent surfaces of each food piece so as to toast, brown or crisp them when exposed to microwave energy within a microwave oven by direct transfer of heat from the microwave recep- tive sheet to the surfaces of the food pieces.
