Abstract MILD PERSONAL CLEANSING COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING SODIUM ALCOHOL ETHOXY GLYCERYL SULFONATE A personal cleansing composition includes a salt, preferably sodium salt, of alcohol ethoxy glyceryl sulfonate. The preferred sodium salt of alcohol ethoxy glyceryl sulfonate has the formula: Image where R is a radical with 4 to 24 carbon atoms and n is a number from 1 to 10. The composition may take the form of a bar, combar, syndet bar, shampoo, liquid soap, bubble bath or shower gel.
